Whenever we have a problem, common sense tells us we should clear all distractions, get in a completely zen-mode and force ourselves to try think clearly.
This doesn’t work.
When you have a serious problem in your venture with no obvious solution – get out. Speak to people. Speak to people with zero knowledge of your industry. Speak to your customers. Speak to B2B providers offering solutions to similar problems. Spend time reading user reviews and lots of case studies.
The same goes for idea generation. Ideas are formulated on the edge of investigation, in the middle of a debate and in the fields of your pro-active battle for a solution.
Only in this chaos will you find clarity, not sitting alone in a quiet calm place.
