Each year, a few school mates and I roadtrip to a quaint spot up the East Coast of South Africa. This forms our annual “boys weekend”.

With life’s increasing responsibilities, it’s fascinating how difficult it is to align just 2 out 365 days for a handful of guys.

Upon arrival, we’ve started a tradition of throwing a bank note into the fire.

Yup… senseless, inconsiderate and pretty much arrogant. But it also serves as a reminder how our friendship is more important than that piece of paper.

We sadly spend most of the year chasing it.

I hope you and me stick to our traditions. It’s important to remember where we came from and use it as a gauge… to where we are… and to where we are heading.
