Yes. If Airbnb decided to host a competition on a dedicated domain (eg. tripofalifetime.com) and the home page was the only webpage, this home page is the competition Landing Page.
Furthermore a dedicated domain Landing Page like this example is also know as a One Page website.
Fun fact: I have been collecting One Page website references since 2008.
Where things get a bit confusing – and Airbnb is a brilliant example – is when the Airbnb home page has the objective of someone successfully booking accommodation (and you can land here after their marketing efforts) it is also technically a Landing Page.
I’d even argue further, based on this top and centered search bar, the main objective of the Airbnb home page is for you to begin searching for accommodation.
- What (exactly) is a website Landing Page?
- What makes a good Landing Page?
- What are Landing Page conversions?
